August Declutter Challenge Week 3

This week I spent sometime getting rid of items in the office. My paper shredder is full of papers in the office that needed to be gone.


I also found and old table knife,picture fram,wood star,pedometer,plastic card holder,pencil bag and some unopened Knex toy. I am slowly making progress in the office and am excited about it.








But my faveorite declutter of all didn't come from the office. It came from the bathroom.

Yeah thats right OPK's (Ovulation Predictor Kits)! My husband and I after over two years of Trying to Concieve got a Positive Pregnancy test on August 18th. Right now I am currently five weeks along! We are so excited and within the next week or two should have our first ultrasound.

August Declutter Challenge Week 3

Recycled Old Coupon Inserts and other paper cluttering the office.




Worked On Organizing my faveorite folder.


My husband actually decided to get rid of this old router that works. He was keeping it becuase "we might need it someday." But agreed with me we haven't used it in years and someone else could get use out of it now.



I went to goodwill with a trunk load of stuff from this challenge things I have posted and not posted. I also was good and resisted going into the store and buying anything.




What I have been learning thru this decluttering process is that you need to take one day at a time. Some days you just get in a rut and have hard time parting with anything. While other days you feel like giving everything away. What I am learning is that I should conquer one room at a time. That will be my goal for this next week because I think I will feel more progress has been made.

August Declutter Challenge Week 2

1. Mountain of Socks 30 pairs. Some ladies collect purses. I collect socks and have three drawers full of them. Feels good to go thru and get rid of the ones I dont wear anymore.


2. Empty Pill Bottles are going to be Recycled.



3. Bad girl garter from wedding 3 1/2 years ago.


4. Shot glass from my cousins wedding. I didnt even goto it and I dont even drink. Time to say goodbye.


5. These cute capris I haven't even worn this summer.


6. This makeup bag jams my bathroom drawer everday so I took the makeup out of it. Goodbye bag.


7. Speaking of making your butt look to big that what this skirt does to me.



8. Cheerleading Shoes from high school these are from 1999. I also got rid of three other pairs of sheos.

I am really glad that I have joined this challenge. Its been hard to get rid of clutter but it feels good all at the same time.

These jeans I bought at a garage sale a couple of months ago. Didn't fit so time for them to goto Goodwill.

These cute flip flops I bought on clearance a couple years a go. I have worn them probaly only a few times to go out and check the mail. Time for them to goto Goodwill.

The recycling was taking over the garage. So I put it in my trunk to get rid of.

It was time to say goodbye to this not even half used bath set. I recieved this yummy smelling set at my bridal shower in December 2004. Just have not used it in 3 1/2 years. I took the wood box it was in and put in a bathroom drawer to help organize. It was cool when I flipped the box over it said reusable box. I think I thought it was cool because I thought of reusing it before I even read it. I am working on the whole Reduce Reuse Recycle concept!

These lids for my coke rewards and pepsi stuff have just been sitting on the desk for the past month. So I typed them all in today and threw the caps away.

I figure that was a good reason to jump back on the blog bandwagon. For day one of the challenge I decided to tackle some the clutter in the master bathroom. Feels great to get rid of items that haven't been used in the longest time.
